How do you slide in Palworld?
Answer
Palworld has no dedicated slide move. Players describe sliding when they sprint down a slope, where momentum carries you further and faster than normal running. For genuinely fast travel, use a glider from height, a ground mount, or a flying mount — those replace sliding for covering distance.
Quick answer
There is no slide input in Palworld. What players call sliding is momentum from sprinting down steep terrain. To actually move quickly, lean on gliders, ground mounts and flying mounts instead.
The movement options you do have
| Method | Best for |
|---|---|
| Sprint | Short bursts; drains stamina fast |
| Glider | Descending safely and crossing gaps from height |
| Ground mount | Sustained overland travel, often with extra utility |
| Flying mount | Fastest travel once unlocked; ignores terrain |
| Fast travel | Instant movement between statues and towers you have activated |
Getting more out of downhill movement
Sprinting downhill genuinely covers ground faster, and pairing it with a glider makes a big difference: run down a slope to build speed, then deploy the glider before the ground drops away. Because fall damage is real, gliding on the way down a cliff is safer than trying to run it.
Better answers than sliding
If the goal is speed, invest in movement rather than technique:
- Unlock and activate every fast travel statue you pass — see the interactive map for their locations.
- Get a mount as early as possible; the Pal database shows which Pals are ridable and how they move.
- Raise stamina on level-ups so sprinting and gliding both last longer.

Frequently asked questions
- Is there a slide button in Palworld?
- No. There is no bound slide action; the effect players describe comes from sprinting down slopes.
- What is the fastest way to travel on foot?
- Sprinting drains stamina quickly, so a ground mount or a flying mount is far faster over any real distance.
- Does gliding cost stamina?
- Gliders consume stamina while in use, so upgrading stamina and using better gliders lets you cross longer gaps.
