Does Palworld have split screen?

The short answer is no — Palworld has no split-screen mode, on console or PC. There is no couch co-op, no two-controller mode, and no shared-screen option hidden in the settings.

What multiplayer Palworld does have

Invite-code co-op

One player hosts their own world and shares a code. Others join over the internet. Simple, no configuration, and good for a handful of friends. The catch: the world only runs while the host is playing.

Dedicated servers

A server that stays online independently. Everyone connects to the same address, progress persists whether or not any particular player is online, and the supported player count is much higher. This is the standard setup for a group that plays regularly.

Why people expect split screen

Palworld looks like a co-op creature-collector, a genre where couch play is common. Mechanically, though, each player has their own Pal party, their own inventory, their own base assignments and their own position in a very large streamed world. Rendering two of those at once on console hardware is a substantial technical ask, which is likely why it is not there.

Making online co-op feel like couch co-op

If your group wants the shared-sofa experience, a few settings help:

• Play on a dedicated server so nobody is blocked by the host being offline.
• Build one guild base. Guild members share base structures, so infrastructure is genuinely communal.
• Split roles. One player on the Cake and farming chain, one on mining, one hunting Alphas for Ancient Civilization Parts.
• Agree world settings first. Hatch times, XP rate and capture rate change the pace enormously.

What to do instead on one console

If two people only have one machine, the practical options are taking turns on one save, or one player hosting and the other joining from a second device. There is no in-game workaround.
