How the ranking works

Score = best attack + 0.6 × defense + 0.5 × HP + 0.25 × strongest skill power (excluding self-destruct moves) + 8 per point of positive default-passive rating. Values come straight from the Palworld 1.0 files. Tiers are percentiles: S is the top 6%, A the next 14%, B the next 25%, C the next 30% and D the rest.

Make any Pal stronger

Passive skills, condensing and IVs can lift a mid-tier Pal above a legendary. Use the breeding calculator to plan parents and the type chart to pick the right element for each fight.

Frequently asked questions

What is the strongest Pal in Palworld?

On raw game-file stats, the top of the list is led by legendary Pals — Frostallion Noct, Necromus, Frostallion, Paladius and Jetragon, which combine high attack, defense and HP with powerful exclusive skills. Use the element filter to find the strongest Pal of each type.

How is this Palworld tier list calculated?

Every Pal is scored from its Palworld 1.0 game data: its best attack stat, defense, HP, the power of its strongest active skill (self-destruct moves excluded) and any built-in passive skill bonuses. Pals are then ranked, and the top 6% become S tier, the next 14% A, then B, C and D.

Does the tier list include passive skills I breed onto a Pal?

No. Only each Pal’s default passives are counted. Bred passives such as Legend, Musclehead or Ferocious can move any Pal up a tier — plan them with the breeding calculator.

Is a high-tier Pal always the best choice?

Not always. Element matchups matter: a lower-tier Pal with the right element can beat a higher-tier one. Check the type chart before boss fights.
