Spotting an entrance

Dungeon entrances are cave mouths set into cliff faces and hillsides, usually lit so they stand out against the rock. They exist in every biome — grasslands, desert, volcanic and the northern snow region — and they are easiest to spot from the air.

Entrances rotate over time. A cliff with nothing today can have an entrance tomorrow, which is why sweeping known cave areas by flying mount beats memorising a single spot. Our interactive map marks the areas where entrances appear so you can plan a circuit.

The time limit

Dungeons expire. You get a set window before you are pushed back outside, so run them in the right order:

Head for the boss. Follow the main tunnel; side branches are usually short dead ends.
Fight it with the right element. Check the type before you commit — our Paldex lists elements and stats for all 299 Pals.
Capture if it is worth it, then loot chests on the way back out.

Trying to loot everything first is how people get ejected before seeing the boss.
