Where do you find a Pal Merchant in Palworld?

Pal Merchants are the shortcut around a lot of Palworld's grind: they turn spare Pals into gold, and gold into the specific Pal you need.

Where they are

Pal Merchants stand in settlements and camps, usually near the ordinary merchants rather than off on their own. The starting-area settlement has one, and further merchants appear as you push into new regions.

Selling to them

Any Pal in your Palbox can be sold, and price scales with rarity. In practice this makes them the endpoint of your breeding pipeline:

1. Run a breeding project for a specific passive combination.
2. Keep the children that rolled well.
3. Sell the rest.

Bred Pals are frequently high-rarity, so the discards are worth real money. This is the highest-value Dog Coin source in the game and it costs you nothing you were keeping.

Buying from them

Stock rotates. When it includes a species that is one half of a unique breeding recipe, buying it is usually faster than hunting it down — check what a pair produces in the breeding calculator before you spend.

This is especially useful for filling gaps in a breeding path: the path finder assumes you own certain Pals, and a merchant purchase can collapse three steps into one.

Do not attack merchants

Killing a merchant makes you wanted and removes a permanent service from your world. Merchants are your source of Wheat Seeds, which are the root of the entire Cake supply chain, and therefore of breeding itself. The short-term loot is never worth it.

A practical loop

• Breed on a schedule at your home base.
• Every few sessions, fast travel to a settlement with your surplus.
• Sell the discards, buy seeds and spheres, check the Pal stock.
• Travel back and keep going.

That loop funds itself indefinitely.
