How do you make Cake in Palworld?
Answer
Cake is baked at a Cooking Pot from 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey. Flour is milled from Wheat, Milk comes from Mozzarina on a Ranch, Eggs from Chikipi, and Honey from Beegarde or Elizabee. One Cake is consumed per breeding cycle.
Cake is the most important item in Palworld that has nothing to do with combat. The Breeding Farm consumes exactly one Cake per egg, so your entire breeding programme runs at the speed of your bakery.
The recipe
Cake is cooked at a Cooking Pot:
| Ingredient | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Flour | 5 | Mill, from Wheat |
| Red Berries | 8 | Berry Plantation |
| Milk | 7 | Mozzarina on a Ranch |
| Eggs | 8 | Chikipi on a Ranch |
| Honey | 2 | Beegarde or Elizabee on a Ranch |
Nothing in that list is rare. Everything in it is slow if you do it by hand, which is why the real answer to "how do I get Cake" is "build the supply chain once".
The full Cake base
1. Wheat and Flour
Unlock the Wheat Plantation and plant it near a Mill. Assign Pals with Planting and Watering, plus at least one Gathering Pal to harvest. Wheat goes into the Mill and comes out as Flour automatically.
Wheat Seeds come from the Small Settlement merchant and from wild grass Pals — see how to get Wheat Seeds.
2. Berries
A Berry Plantation with the same Planting and Watering crew. Berries also feed your Pals, so build it larger than the Cake recipe alone needs.
3. Milk and Eggs
Build a Ranch and assign:
- Mozzarina — produces Milk
- Chikipi — produces Eggs
Two or three of each keeps a bakery running. Both are easy catches in the first region.
4. Honey
Beegarde or Elizabee on the Ranch produces Honey. Beegarde is far easier to obtain; Elizabee is an Alpha but produces faster and also boosts Ranch work. Details in how to get Honey.
5. The Cooking Pot
Assign a Kindling Pal — Foxparks early, Arsox or Jormuntide Ignis later — and queue Cake permanently. As ingredients arrive, Cakes are baked without you.
Keep Cake from spoiling
Cake decays over time in normal storage. Build a Cooler Box (which needs Pal Fluids) and store finished Cakes there, or simply feed them straight into the Breeding Farm's feed box as they are produced.
The tidiest layout puts the Cooking Pot within a few tiles of the Breeding Farm so a Transporting Pal moves Cakes directly into the feed box.
How much Cake do you actually need?
A serious passive-skill breeding project — the kind described in the legendary breeding guide — burns dozens of Cakes. Aim for a bakery that produces at least one Cake every few minutes before starting one, otherwise you will spend the session waiting rather than hatching.
Quick troubleshooting
- Cooking Pot idle. No Kindling Pal assigned, or no fuel.
- Flour not appearing. The Mill needs a Pal assigned and Wheat in range.
- Ranch produces nothing. Mozzarina, Chikipi and Beegarde must be assigned to base work, not sitting in the Pal Box.
- Cake keeps disappearing. Your Pals are eating it. Keep it in a Cooler Box, not the shared food chest.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the Cake recipe in Palworld?
- 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey, cooked at a Cooking Pot. Flour requires a Mill and Wheat, so a Wheat plantation is the real prerequisite.
- What is Cake used for?
- Cake is the fuel for the Breeding Farm. One Cake is consumed per egg produced, so every breeding project is limited by how much Cake you can bake.
- How do you get Cake faster in Palworld?
- Automate every ingredient: a Wheat plantation with Planting and Watering Pals, a Mill, a Ranch with Mozzarina and Chikipi, and Beegarde or Elizabee for Honey. Then keep a Kindling Pal on the Cooking Pot.
