How do you get Paldium Fragments in Palworld?

Paldium Fragments are the material that quietly limits the entire early game, because Pal Spheres are made from them and you will throw a lot of spheres.

Where to find them

• Blue-glowing Paldium nodes. Distinctive and easy to spot, especially at night. They cluster near water — rivers, lakes and coastlines — and appear in open terrain across most regions.
• Mining ordinary rocks yields fragments alongside stone in many areas.

Nodes respawn, so a known cluster is a repeatable farm rather than a one-off pickup.

What consumes them

Higher-tier spheres cost more per throw, which is why raising capture power with Lifmunk Effigies is effectively a Paldium saving — fewer failed throws means fewer spheres crafted.

Automating it

Manual gathering is fine for the first few hours. After that:

1. Build a base near a node cluster, ideally by water.
2. Assign Mining Pals — work suitability for all 299 Pals is listed in our Paldex.
3. Assign a Transporting Pal so output lands in chests instead of on the ground.
4. Keep the feed box stocked so the crew keeps working while you are away — see Pal sanity.

Because the base's Palbox is also a fast travel point, collection becomes a single hop.

Early-game priority

A rough order for the first several hours:

1. Gather enough Paldium for a steady sphere supply
2. Place your first Palbox and a small base
3. Unlock and build the Egg Incubator
4. Start the Wheat and Cake chain
5. Begin breeding

Paldium is step one of that sequence, which is why it deserves more attention than it usually gets.

Do not over-hoard

Fragments are common and nodes respawn. Once your base is mining them automatically, spend freely on spheres — an uncaught Pal is worth more than a stockpiled material.
